The next zoning hearing on the project happens in November. The developer just unveiled a new website where neighbors can add questions or comments.
Paradise Isle is formerly known as Paradise Preserve: Virtual Design of Mixed-Use Community Golf Course.
The documents, prepared by the civil engineering firm Hole Montes, say the cost of the development will be roughly $600 million to $1 billion, “as it is too early to provide an accurate estimate.” A receptionist for Dennis J Fullenkamp Realty said last week he was on vacation, and couldn’t be reached for comment.
Tina McCain Matte, a representative of the public relations firm Gravina, Smith, Matte & Arnold, said via email that developers are still in the process of rezoning the property, and have not yet made an application for a development order with the county. She said conservatively, construction on the golf course and marina expansion would begin about two years from now.
Paradise Isle Update: 3/7/2018 Paradise Isle was the focal point of the North Fort Myers Townhall meeting. The meeting was well attended and the crowd involved.
The following companies are involved in this project as well as at the meeting and most presented and/or took questions. This project is still in it’s early phases. Traffic seemed to be the largest concern for the crowd.

On 10/6/2017 Paradise Isle formerly known as Paradise Preserve filed a request to rezone 271.1 acres from Residential Planned Development (RPD), Marine Commercial District (CM), Commercial District (C-1A), and Multiple-Family District (RM-2) to Mixed Use Planned Development (MPD), to allow a mixed use development consisting of 1,200 multiple family dwelling units; 543 hotel rooms; up to 55,000 square feet of commercial/retail; up to 22,500 square feet of office; up to 23,000 square feet of accessory health spa/fitness facilities; an 18-hole golf course; 200 dry boat storage slips; a 200 wet slip marina; and up to 22,500 SF of stand-alone restaurant use; along with customary accessory uses.
Location: In general, the property lies north and south of Birkdale Avenue, east of SE 24th Avenue and off of Orange Grove Boulevard, south of Birkdale Avenue, North Fort Myers Planning Community, Lee County, FL.
